2.1 License & Account Information
When you purchase Assisting AI, we collect:
- Email address (via payment provider)
- License key and activation details
- Device identifier (machine ID) for license activation
2.2 Usage Analytics
We collect anonymous usage data to improve the product:
- Number of messages sent per day
- Token consumption (input/output) per AI model
- Feature usage patterns (screenshots, voice transcription)
- App version and error logs
This data is linked to your license key for usage tracking and is not shared with third parties.
2.3 Meeting & Interview Question Data
When you use the meeting assistance feature, transcribed questions from meetings or interviews may be collected anonymously to build an aggregated question bank. This data:
- Contains only the speaker's questions — not your answers
- Is anonymized and cannot be traced back to you personally
- Does not include audio recordings, screenshots, or personal information
- Is used to help other users prepare for meetings and interviews through our question database
By using Assisting AI, you acknowledge and consent to this data collection as described in our Terms of Service.
3. How Audio Is Processed
Assisting AI captures system audio for transcription purposes. Important details:
- Audio is processed locally — Voice Activity Detection (VAD) runs entirely on your device
- Audio chunks are sent to Groq's Whisper API for transcription only — audio is not stored by us
- No audio recordings are saved on our servers
- Groq's data policy applies to audio processed through their API
4. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Assisting AI service
- To validate your license and manage access
- To monitor usage for fair-use enforcement
- To improve AI response quality and application performance
- To build an anonymized question database for meetings and interviews
- To send important product updates (rare; no marketing spam)
5. Data Storage & Security
- License credentials are stored in encrypted local storage on your device
- Conversation history is stored locally in SQLite on your device
- Usage analytics are transmitted over HTTPS to our secure servers
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties
6. Third-Party Services
Assisting AI uses the following third-party services:
- Groq — AI inference (LLM and speech-to-text)
- DODO Payments — Payment processing and license management
- PostHog — Anonymous product analytics

- Request deletion of your personal data
- Deactivate your license and remove the application
