No. Assisting AI runs as a lightweight native desktop overlay (built with Tauri, not a browser window) that sits on your side of the screen. Share a specific window or tab in Zoom, Google Meet or Teams and your reference panel stays out of the shared view.
How fast does it transcribe and answer?
Speech appears on your overlay in about a second, and the AI answer follows in roughly two to three seconds. Voice Activity Detection starts transcribing the moment the speaker talks, so you are not waiting for them to finish a long sentence.
Does it work with any video calling platform?
Yes. Assisting AI captures system audio, so it works with anything that plays sound on your computer — Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Discord, phone calls routed through your computer, OBS and any screen-capturing app. It was last verified on Zoom, Google Meet and Teams on 1 September 2026.
What types of questions can it handle?
Technical topics such as data structures, algorithms, system design, databases, operating systems, networking, React, Node.js, Python and SQL, as well as behavioural questions, client and product questions, sales objections and general business discussion. Use a smart screenshot for code, diagrams or slides that are shared on screen.
Can I use it on Mac and Windows?
Yes. There is a native desktop app for both Windows and macOS. Setup takes about two minutes: install, paste your license key and click Start Listening.
Is it better than using ChatGPT during a call?
ChatGPT needs you to type or paste every question, which takes 15–30 seconds and a visible browser tab. Assisting AI hears the question itself, keeps the conversation context for follow-ups and shows an answer in about three seconds in a discreet overlay.
What if I have multiple meetings in one day?
Every pass is unlimited. A Day Pass covers as many calls as you like for 24 hours; the 7-day and 30-day passes do the same for longer stretches.
How is it different from Parakeet AI and other meeting assistants?
Assisting AI offers the same core capabilities — real-time transcription, an overlay and screenshot analysis — with automatic question detection, native Hindi, English and Hinglish support, and affordable one-time passes instead of a $40–60 monthly subscription.
What happens when my license expires?
Your access simply ends at the end of the pass. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Buy a new pass from the app whenever you need it again.
Is my data private?
Audio is used only to produce your transcript and answers, and your conversation history is saved to your own account so you can review it later. We do not sell your data. Write to support@assisting-ai.com if you would like your history deleted.
Can I use it for client calls and sales meetings?
Absolutely. Many customers use it on discovery calls, demos and client check-ins to pull up pricing details, technical specifications and objection handling while the conversation is happening.
Do you offer international pricing?
Yes. Visitors in India see prices in Indian rupees (INR) and visitors everywhere else see US dollars (USD) — automatically, based on where you are. The app works worldwide. For team or bulk purchases, email support@assisting-ai.com.
