I would choose a batch job when the workload involves large historical data sets, low latency is not critical, and the data volume is predictable. Batch jobs are easier to schedule, can be optimized for throughput, and fit well with ETL pipelines that run nightly or weekly. For real‑time analytics or low‑latency requirements, I would prefer streaming or continuous processing. Thus, batch is suitable for data warehousing, reporting, and periodic data lake refreshes.
