What is a number greater than a million million?

In the short scale used in the United States and most English-speaking countries, a million million is called a trillion, which equals 10^12. A number greater than a million million would therefore be a quadrillion (10^15) or any larger power of ten. For example, 1,000,000,000,000,000 (one quadrillion) is one thousand times larger than a trillion.
